Default engine hoist to 5.3/4l60e combo?

I am putting a 5.3/4l60e into a truck, I have the intake off , but I am nervous on where to hook my engine leveler to the engine with out damaging anything... I am a little nervouse about it....anyone done it,, how you guys did it?

Nope, nobody's done it here..... But seriously, if you have the intake off, thet's the most easily damaged part, I just put a chain at the rear of one head to the front of the other. Nothing to it, don't sweat it.

^^^...Ditto, I just used the exhaust manifold holes, but used 4 total bolts. one at each corner, and I had the intake on...no sweat.

thanks guys... my just nervous about the total weight... I will use the 4 exhaust bolts as TomM said...I am attaching the tranny to engine right now... let you know how it went later

what if I bolt them to the head holes on the back and front of heads?

I use an engine leveler and run two bolts on each head - one in front, one in back on each side.

Make sure you use short bolts so you don't bent the bolt and take the chance of messing up the threads in the heads but other wise you're fine.

Mine was too close to the firewall to use the back ones, that's why I had to use the sides....you might have the room.....

They sell a lift plate that bolts to the valley cover holes

trying to find the how am I going to go about the fuel system,, I know about the options,, I am going to run a inline pump,, and I know how am going to hook the fuel line from the rail to the vette filter,,just little undecided on the from the tank to pump, here is a pic of the truck its right b4 taking the tired 305 engine out
