thanks! the Jeep shaft is much tighter and not sloppy. the stock g-body has that sloppy rag joint - the jeep has u-joints. it's not a must do but a good upgrade for those that like tight suspension and don't mind the increased harshness of the road feel. just a tighter steering with the upgrade..
talked to Tobin @Kore3 and he said the blazer spindles got a better design for the C5 brake upgrade than the stock g-body spindles. the blazer has bolt on hub - the g-body you need to machine a stock rotor down to use it as a hub. there are a few shops you can buy custom g-body hubs but if you can find blazer spindles + hubs (only the 98+, 2-door, 2wd) it'll be a lot easier for the whole upgrade. with the blazer spindels the whole upgrade is like a bolt on - with the stock g-body spindle you need to do a lot of work (metal cuts, drill and tap)

Don't know how I missed this on here. Been watching this build on Montess.com.
Glad you are still at it, progress looks great. Definitely doing it right the first time, no skimping. The time spent now will save you headaches in the future.
Great job man.....

got some more stuff done yesterday
got the hubs on, steering link, adapter brackets. grinded the stock C5 caliper abutment brackets little bit and painted black. wire brushed and cleaned front frame braces - i'll weld another tube/brace to them like the sc&c frame brace:
