Basically transplant all wiring from the V8 Car into the V6 car, and make sure you bolt into the Auto Shifter somehow..unless you want to make it a 6spd.

Ya it's going to be alot of work, but it will be done correctly if you swap everything out.

I plan on doing the same thing with my car, I'm swapping everything over to a new body, and I'm going through everything.

I do know that there is very suttle differences in the V6 and V8 Wiring, but my concern will be with the BCM..there may be a difference.

Personally I would swap every bit of wiring.

As far as the Shifter..on the Manual Car there will be a hole, on the Auto Car the Shifter will be bolted down to a plate and the Linkage Cable will be going through the floor to the Tranny. You will need to secure the Shifter Assembly into the Manual Car if you want to keep it an auto.

Oh ya I forgot about that..that part of the Harness will definately be different. I would get a Wiring Diagram and see what the differences are.

Here is a 1998 Diagram..it shows the differences in the V6 and V8 wiring..

BCM-Body Control Module.

I'm not sure if there is a difference with the V6 and V8 ones.
