AJE motor mounts, what is the difference?
AJE motor mounts, what is the difference? Has anybody had a lsx and a ford 4.6/5.4 motor mount bracket side by side? The reason I am asking is because I just bought an AJE k-member for my 1998 mustang and it came with the ford motor mounts. Now I can make them fit if I slightly elongate the holes that bolt to the block, but I am curious if the height of the mounts are the same?? Anybody have any ideas? Could someone take a picture of there mount and post here or PM me please?

IMAGE 1 - The mount depth is about 3.5" from the center of the bolt to the mounting surface of the mount
IMAGE 2 - The front of the plate is about 5/8" from the plate where it bolts to the k-member, the hole is about 3/8" from the plate.

We ordered 2 of them about 4 weeks ago with the k-member. Jegs told us it was back ordered. So we ordered another one with k-member and mounts from late model restoration at same time and they said it should be here the 19th of this month. Has been on order since last week of Febuary. We got the K-member from Jegs in 4 days but thats because they happened to have one in stock. Still no mounts or spring perches have showed up.
I called today and they said they had one in stock and it would be shipped first thing tomorrow morning. I'll post and let you know if it happens, I will call them around noon. I told them that a guy on ls1tech had been back ordered for a while and she sounded suprised.
On a side note I saw your intercooler for sale... Very tempting, I am also looking at a gtk1000.

Why don't you guys just call AJE instead of wasting time with jegs or looking for some on a message board? The 4.6/5.4 mounts are almost identical to the LSX mounts. Jim at AJE told me this. I have the LSX mounts and we had a 4.6 in the shop so I held them up to the block and it would work with just a bit of messaging with a drimmel tool. The LS mounts are only $69 bucks from AJE.
I have the mustang mounts at home here, and I just ordered the LSx mounts cause I want it to all fit in like it is supposed to. And I ordered it from AJE direct.

I wouldn't deal with AJE. Try sending back your mediocre parts or ask about problems with parts ordered and you're looked at or spoken to like it's your fault and you're an idiot. Been through this.
Call AJE and talk with Jim. He and Anthony have always been with 2-3 days of the day they told me things would ship.
I had a trans crossmember that needed a adjustment and I had it back in 10 days from day I shipped.
