quick question droppin an ls1 in a truck that had a 6.0
a guy i know has a chevy pickup with a piston slappin 6.0 and he wants to buy my ls1 off me and have me put it in. will it be a simple drop in and go? or will their be some problems along the way? my ls1 came out of my 98 and im not sure what year the truck is. atleast 02 or 03

shouldn't be any drilling and tapping going that direction. Simple swapover, install all the truck accessories/ balancer/ water pump and truck intake stuff over. You are gonna have to use the 98 car coils since the truck coil pack brackets wont bolt on your 98 valve covers but that should be no big deal. The car coil harnesses will plug into the trucks wiring fine. Should be pretty straightforward.

I am pertty sure that the Gen IV with 58x started in the trucks from 06' or 07', and that it is a LQ4 (?) and that yours should be a 24x wheel (but as usual, I could be corrected !)
