78 Datsun 280z-------------> 5.3 Build

I agree. I just wish they'd get done with them faster...........
Car has been at the shop for 4.5 weeks! We're orchestrating a group buy on Hybridz.org, so naturally, we're trying to build them to 20+ peoples wants / needs. They'll be sweet when they're done. ..... .... .... Assuming I have the money to finish the car when they're done.

Well it's been long enough since I updated....
The car is still at the shop where the headers are getting built. Before anyone calls me out for not just doing it myself, you need to know the circumstances. 1. group buy on Hybridz.org orchestrated by a friend and I. 2. I get a gratis set of headers. 3. free stainless longtubes, duh?
anywho, here's what the builder is coming up with:
Hopefully we'll get the production run done soon, and I can get this bizitch back and finish it!

Hey man great build thread I am going to follow for sure. I am in the process of building an '87 300zx with a 6.0L blow through turbo with 4l80e trans. I am also on hybrid as "LSXZ31". I am doing all the cosmetic stuff first until I sell the running v6 and trans. I will start a build thread here when I start the engine conversion part of the project.
So far I have converted to '09 bullet wheels, painted a bunch of red interior panels to match the tan dash and leather seats, replaced the bent up hood and started preparing the paint for a silver two tone top. I love these cars. I had a 77 280 that I street raced in high school and it actually beat up on a bunch of my buddies v-8 cars back in the day. Here is a couple pics of my project. Keep up the good work.

I haven't
I'm hoping that it will be done in the next month. I'm working in a different town, two hours away, so i don't have time to mess with anything at the moment.
I have been slowly buying little things that it needs to go together though, and hope to have it done within a couple weeks of getting it back. It's been painfully slow, but as I stated earlier, I don't have time to work on it, so if I have to be without it, this is about the best time!

Awesome build man. I'm going to be starting my own 6.0 Datsun swap soon. Going to be using you guys here and over on hybridz as a huge resource for help and direction. Will be reading your progress over and over. Keep up the good work!
