they might, but I know for sure that the steering rack in the v6 won't work. I'm doing a v6 to 5.3 swap right now I'm gathering parts still but I'll let you know once I start tearing it apart

Two options

1) Stock LS1 Fbody engine mounts, Spohn K-member mounts in the V6 position on the K-member

2) Stock SBC mounts on the K-member, 1" setback adapter plates with stock V8 engine mounts

Non-setback mounts require a K-member notch, clearance is very tight, but passable with those combos

Your 89 steering parts are all retained unless you just want to go through the hassle of a R&P conversion

The TAcreations site isnt helpful because it covers 4th gen V6 to LS1 conversion where his 89 is a 3rd gen. This site has what he needs

Its very tight with the spohn mounts. Do yourself a favor and replace the oilpump before installing the engine. You will pay hell trying to drop the pan like that and swear even more fighting the pick up tube bolt/o-ring

Well I already have the pan so hopefully I can make it work it is a race only car so the heater box etc is all out. So hopefully I can tuck it tight against the firewall and make it work if not I will cut the K member. I see the stock v6 mounts are to the rear of the k member is this the same as where the v8's are mounted???

here's one prior to yanking all the stock wiring and cleaning things up, but should give you an idea (you don't use the front-most lower bolt hole on the clamshells):

and a mess of other photos from the swap (kinda on hold due to weather and working 7 days a week...):

i've got the standard mounts, but i will definitely be changing over to the 1" setbacks when the LS1 goes in (round two). There's plenty of room back there and you won't have to notch the kmember like i already did. plus it will put your transmission output at the correct factory spot for the driveshaft (shouldn't have an issue with the non-setbacks, but doesn't hurt)
