Ls1 Brunton Super Stalker

I have been thinking my ls1 rx7 is a little boring lately and I hear these things can be pretty badass track cars.
1500lbs with a 400whp ls1 and 10" wide slicks.. only problem I can think of is how the hell do I keep the engine streetable/reliable and still get an oiling system that can handle 1.5 - 2G lateral acceleration in some of the corners. All while not spending more on the oiling system than the roller.
Thats what these things can hit with some aero and big slicks.
With such a light car you'd never break anything either. A stock ford 8.8 would be unbreakable in a 1500lb car and a stock 10 bolt would be reliable
My thoughts are the same as yours, why stop at a lightweight production car chassis such as a RX7 or Miata when you can drop another thousand pounds by using a Lotus 7.
But yes they did just start offering the ls1 kit, which I thought was a good idea. I was thinking when I saw them offering the supercharged motors (I bet an ls1 would be lighter and make more power) and both are true.
I wasnt the only one who had that idea though, the reason brunton started offering it is because some of his customers got the same idea as me and did the conversion themselves, found it fit, and so brunton decided to offer it.
Big problems with this car are aero, and I would think heat management could be an issue, I cant imagine you can fit much of a radiator in there but I would think a roots supercharged v6 takes a more intense cooling system than an NA Ls1 and these cars have been running and racing the supercharged v6 in florida summers for years, so they prob have it down pretty well.
I live in Southern California and don't have too many days where lack of a/c would bother me, I think I could drive one a lot more than on just the weekends. It would make for a fun commute, that's for sure.
I'm surprised that it took Brunton as long as it did, LS power seems like an obvious choice. I can't believe there's people that make arguments against "too much power". As long as the power delivery is fairly linear, there's no such thing as too much.
I got Keith Tanner's book but haven't jumped into it yet. His website is worth a look if you haven't come across it yet (http://cheapsportscar.net/).

Hell you could even get a great paint job because painting one of these is pretty much as labor intensive as painting a motorcycle or painting bumpers

Which sounds like it sucks, but I bet that thing is scary as hell at 150+
So when are you starting your build?
In reality where can most of us go 150 and bring it back home safely??? Not where I live very often.

Only thing is I'd run wider tires on the street and for the strip I'd use a set of 15x10" black racing wheels like these with some massive racing slicks for autox/ roadcourse

and then take the fenders off at the drag strip and strap on my 27x10.5 ET streets. They would look cartoonish on such a small car.
I'de also have a full cage. with a removable canvas top, I saw one on another car and it looked sick. I'll see if I can find the pic
Garuntee even towing the trailer I could still run 12s in one of these cars with the stock ls1
I also want a full cage and definitely a top of some sort. Having the sun beating down on you all day is not always fun. I think some side impact protection is a good idea too.
