not much updates. ive got the metal to do the floor pan. i have had lower control arms on back order for 2 months. i cancelled the order and re-ordered from another company. they shipped yesterday. should be here soon. after that i can get it down on its new wheels and all i have to do is finish tranny, floor pan, and rear brake lines and i can drive it

Why the mazda3 control arms?

Did those bolt right in - and are those off the current mazda3 style car?

Sounds like Mazda 3 and Focus are the same platform.

the reason for the mazda3 control arms is the mazda 3 uses the same 5lug pattern hub as the mustang rearend. the focus is a 4 lug. in order to use the mazda3 knuckel i had to use the mazda strut and lower control arm because the strut hole is larger and the ball joint is different. the contol arm doesnt really bolt right in but it is the same size. the difference is the bushings and the mounting sleeve that is pressed onto the bushing from factory. so i got some poly bushings for a focus and cut the stock bushings off and put the focus stuff on it.

the goal is to run as close as i can to the zephyr that is being built on here. i love that build. in the end built 6.0, rearend work, etc. w/e it takes to make it run what he is running. sleepers are awesome.
