Edelbrock mounts/headers on a 67 Camaro w/F-body pan
Since there seems to be a lot of back and forth as to whether or not a stock F-body pan will fit a first gen Camaro without modification I figured I would post some pics showing that it does indeed fit without cutting the front out of the pan. I am using Edelbrock mount plates which I believe are 1" setback.
There is a difference in the idler arms between 67 and 68-69. I believe the 68-69 versions are shorter thus pushing the steering link further rearward. I am using a 67 idler & pitman arm.
Here are a couple pics of my frame stands. I beleive these are what is considered the tall mounts.
Firewall clearance
Header ground clearance. I was holding them in place so this is not exact, but real close to what it will be.
And last but not least a pic of the unmolested pan clearing the steering linkage
Hope this helps someone out. I spent a lot of time looking without finding any definitive answers.

www.pozziracing.com has some good info on idler and pitman arm lengths that may be useful for people trying to replicate your results. Have you measured your idler and pitman arms?

Flyinsquirel these pics are EXACTLY what I was looking for. I'm going to order up the edelbrock set up soon. Glad I do not have to cut my pan. Thanks for sharing these. I'm also going to replace my idler and pitman arms. I believe the 67 is longer and 68/69 are shorter. I was going to buy the 67 (longer) so that it places the centerlink as close as possible to the crossmember and away from the oil pan. I think this is the way to go for sure. Do you happen to have a pic of steering box clearance? I'm going to use the Cardone/IROC steering box as well. BIG THANKS for posting and pm'ing me on these pics. Good luck on the project!!!

Quick note:
The 67 idler and pitman are approximately 5.8" long while the 68-69 power steering idler/pitman are approx. 5.25". The way the steering is laid out this would mean that the longer 67 idler/pitman would position the centerlink closer to the crossmember, as is the case with flynsquirel's pics above. Problem is, the correct 67 idler is more expensive compared with the shorter 68-69 AND, according to Dave's website, the moog idler for the 67 camaro, MOOG #K-6099 idler arm (square shaped arm) is 5.375" long in between 5.8" and 5.25". I love this hobby:-)

LOL, thanks for the post Flyinsquirel. I too spent countless hours looking for an answer to this question "to cut or not to cut". It seems others have done the same, i.e. no mods to pan, with Hooker plates/headers and no clearance issues. I'm happy to hear the same is true with other products as well. Thanks again...
