Tail shot action!
Check out the gangster in the background, what a punk. Thats my son that is wanting to help me, prolly wanting to help so he can drive my car when its done. Good luck with that! He will be 16 in August.

Plenty of room between the headers and the oil pan.

Notice how even the exits are. I could tweak them a little at the mounting bolts but came out pretty darn close for just throwing two bolts in each.

One area of concern is the cylinders numbered 5 and 7. The spark plug wires will not work with the ends from the factory. I will have to do a little investigating here. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe some 90 degree boots or maybe a 45.

A pic of the accessories that come with the headers. New bolts, donuts for the collectors, collector extensions, gaskets (prolly go with the MLS gaskets), collector retaining rings (quality is great), instructions (who read instructions), and oxygen sensor hole plugs and copper seals.

All of which is a good quality except I dont like the gaskets. My nephew told me to not run gaskets but to use copper silicone instead. I am leaning more towards using the stock truck MLS gaskets.

Here are the collector rings!!! Sweeeeettt!!! Bad when you get excited about such a small piece. I guess working with metal all day it means more. Sorry!

Dynatech has moved the oxygen sensors to point back at the engine at a 45 degree angle. Seems better than 90 degrees. We will have to see once the tranny is bolted up.

I am leaning towards the edelbrock headers for my LS1 swap into a 67 camaro for now. But those Dynatechs look SWEEEEEEET! I may have to do a little more research! Great thread and build up BTW, I am subscribing to see what's next... Good luck with the build!

In case you haven't seen this thread:

Nice progress and car. At last the boy is acting interested. Mine doesn't even pretend to be. Of course, he's only 9, but definately did not inherit the car bug. He has long hair and will probably end up driving a mario cart.

My son likes cars but hasn't been bit by the bug yet either. Hard to compete with the Xbox! Prolly cheaper if he never gets bit. For him and me.

How did you get that fuel pump into the tank? How did you modify the sending unit like that?
