Thee is a drift event at Turner Field this weekend of the 27th? I might just have to drive down there in my LS1 swapped Honda S2000 and see what it is all about. Stancel hit me back about this weekend i would love to see it in person (maybe get a ride)

The guys at Batlground took the car to an Autocross event. They wanted to drive the car and shake down any issues. I watched and took pictures. Here is one of my favorite shots:

In the case of an IS300, everything has to be changed to make good reliable power. The 2JZ that came in my car would have to be torn down and rebuilt with Supra TT internals to handle the boost needed to drift competitively. The transmission is only good to around the 400hp mark. The LSD that came in some IS300s are not great either. Not to mention the cost and headaches that come along with squeezing power out of a turbo 2JZ.
Reasons for the LS swap in my case are:
- Reliability
- Way easier to tune
- Much more cost effective
- Parts available at every auto parts store
- Torque!
- Power at all RPMs with no lag

Nice swap!!
I'm doing a LS1 into my JZX90 Toyota Chaser. What did you do for headers? Custom???
Edit:
Ooops just read custom headers.
Did you have to modify the transmission tunnel for the T56 at all? I had to cut out alot of mine.
