Took the car to the dragstrip this past weekend. A drift car makes a very sketchy drag car but I was able to make in in the high 11s.

It is a rebuilt Supra clutch type LSD from an 87 or 89 (can't remember the year). It fits in the stock IS300 pumpkin but you have to shave the end of the stub shafts down to the splines. It has the Weir Performance kit to stiffen up the clutches. It is a super cheap option and way better than the stock torsen LSD. I have 3 years of hard life on this LSD.

Nice build man! I'm going with a semi-built LQ4/T56 in my 00' S2000 with a ford 8.8 rear!

nice carnage! is the block messed up? may want to reconsider using it again. iron blocks are quite heavy especially for your car. its your build, just letting you know

I am trying to find an LS1 short block to replace it. I am trading my blown engine for machine work on the PRC heads from this engine and the heads for my LS3.

You are right. The iron blocks are great but the weight will kill me. To compete my car needs to be under 3200lbs and right now it is 3130lbs with me in it. I have cut tons of stuff out of the car and it is still super heavy.

Hopefully I will have it running in a couple of weeks. Working on a deal for another shortblock.
