Well got another small update. Currently have all the parts to build the turbo setup. I put the injectors on today(seimens 80lbs), and yesterday I mounted the WTA intercooler and also started to hack the exhaust for the wastegate. That is all.

Good to see you finally got some time off work to make some progress on the Probe. Hopefully you got that Festiva back on the ground too.

Here is a few pics of some parts I picked up for my swap. Many thanks to you for the trans. Still trying to find a motor but hopefully I will have one in the next month.

It is unbelievable how much lighter the aluminum bellhousing is over the cast.

Is this the same probe that always raced at Greatlakes Dragway when it was still fwd with the turbo V6? It's been awhile since I've seen him run. Last I heard it was converted to rwd.

Most likely, he ran around 11.40's with the KL motor. When He had it RWD he was running a 2JZ and Turbo 400 combo.

Getting close. The Oil Feed line will be a 90 degree when I get another chance to work on it.

Ok, another update. CAR IS TURBO'ED!!!! I ran it yesterday at Great Lakes Dragway, yup, drove 4 hours each way, to make a Probe meet up there. It was mid 40's, and I was on 235 wide drag radials, so I broke loose and put the car sideways three out of four runs.

Best run was 12.93@121mph, 1/4 throttle in first, about 1/4-1/2 throttle in second, and full throttle in third. Car Feels awesome! It's on 8lbs of boost, and reallllllly rich at 10.3afr. Ill lean it out to 11.5afr and add about 6 deg timing, and get some real tires under her, and she will easily do 130+mph on only 8psi!!! hell.... yeah....

Vids and some pics coming soon!

Wow that is great and you are incredibly insane to drive that thing 4 hours each way. I can only imagine the looks you got on the way up and back.

Ha Ha thanks! You should see what I had to do to the passenger side headlight! We even left it how we did to make people wonder WTF! Sorry for the delay on the videos, My car is having a very weird start/die issue that I am working on. Funny how it goes 400 miles on Sunday, then monday night will only Start and immediately die...

a couple vids. All they really show is how cold it was and how narrow my tires are, but here they are anyway.

Thanks for looking! I am sure I will have more and better vids when my track opens in a couple weeks.

I have done a little tuning on it, still a little rich but runs real hard.

Thanks! Well I have only had it to the track once turboed, and going 1/8th throttle netted a whopping 2.2, ha ha, I will have more track time in a week and a half, hopefully with some better drags.

She should run an easy 130mph, probably closer to 135 as she sits.

Car #2829

This was on 10lbs, which is what it has always been at, I previously thought it was 8, but its 10, ha ha. More times coming soon....

Oh also on a side note, my pump for the WTA quit on me, but she still ran the best pass without it, just quit on me on my burnout....

Looks like super fun and congrats on the build. Now throw some proper tires on it to get those 60s where they outta be and get a 10sec slip.
