What is there to screw-up?

The existing hole is 1/4" which is perfect for tapping 1/16-27 npt. Just tap away. Then get a 1/16npt x -4AN adapter, some pipe sealer and you are set.

heads are tapped, 1/4 pipe thread to -4an and then you just run it how you see fit

so just tap while on the car? just worried where those shavings go...even with grease...not sure how deep one would go on the hole? how far down before space or you see no more alum. to drill through ?
