Looking good.

How hard was the lizard skin to lay down?

How much prep did you do?

Prep i masked everything off and vacuumed the cab floor. The floor is painted so i didnt have to scuff anything. Real easy to lay down. No overspray just pull the trigger and overlap your passes and it worked for me. First time using a paint gun.

Got a fair amount accomplished tonight, Trans is entirely bolted in and has 7 qts of fluid in it so far. Ran the dipstick but its too thick at either end to get it behind the engine with everything in so I had to run it beside the head and will have to mount it to the blower box I guess 0. Passenger header is bolted down for good drivers is still undone until I get the correct p/n switch tomorrow. Steering shaft is in acc bracket is back on but now the ps pump wont slide past the fittings on my steering box so hoping if I undo the pressure side fitting it will allow me to get the pump past and bolt that up and still leave me room to reinstall the fitting. Clutch pedal is halfway cut out but ran out of dremel discs. Once that's out I will reinstall the carpet and interior. Oh and driveshaft is reinstalled and still fits!! Threw my trans cooler up infront of the radiator should be able to use the tabs on the radiator previous used for the condenser to mount the trans cooler.

Figured out you cant use the 80e shift cable bracket so that's holding me up now. But I should be able to fire it tomorrow.

1 bolt and the stock 60e bracket works perfect, adjust the cable a little bit though.

For some reason I couldn't get the blazer shifter and cable to work. I adjusted it all the way out and it was too short to reach the trans lever in park by a 1/4" and then it had trouble pulling all the way into 1st. So I said screw it since I had summit gift cards. Winter plan is to take the handle apart and have it powdercoated to it doesn't stick out so much. I don't want straight black but maybe a gunmetal or something.

So I finally installed the new carbon clutches and did the alternative mod and added an extra friction on each side

Its all back together and hopefully works because I have a track rental day today and hope to get some good times with the new auto!
