Love this build man. Truck sounds mean!

Thanks for the info on the LS3 intake valves - I swapped them out on my GMPP L92 heads - between the heads, cam, and long tubes and tune - I picked up 75 hp at the rear wheel - can't complain about that.

Damn, do you drive that thing like you stole it? I usually expect better out of these swaps, especially in lighter cars/trucks.

On another note, all it's missing is a C5 brake upgrade! Truck looks great. I've checked in on this thing periodically over the years.

Ussually hahaha even all highway right now is only like 13. Need to turn the dfco on an do some gas saving tuning.

I went with the ls1 fbody brakes upfront since at the time I had 16" wheels and thats the largest I could run.

So a lot has happened lately. Hauled a few loads of wood from my uncles back to my place from 2 trees that we cut down. Went to a big carshow dyno day with a few of my s10 buddies where I won 3rd place for domestic in the carshow and tossed it on the dyno.

Company owners Duster put down over 800 while spinning the slicks. Theres vids all over the place of it from the tx2k and at there shop. Its nasty.

382hp and 335 tq. I was hoping for atleast 400 hp and Im surprised how low the tq is. Overall the truck is 4000lb with me in it race weight and traps 116. Thought everything would be higher.

Was that spraying it or na. I would think it would have made more hp also. I'm hoping mine makes 420. I don't have any of the vvt stuff, I eliminated mine. My cam is pretty narly also, plus I have ported heads and holley high ram intake. Mine weighs 3850 with me in it. Cool build also. Sorry I didn't mention that earlier

Dyno results are a little disappointing. Do you have the readout (torque/hp vs rpm)? Have you had it tuned or have you been dialing it in yourself?

Just spent a good portion of my work day reading through this. Your truck is awesome man. Congrats on getting it to where it is today! Once you go turbo, you will love it even more, lol.

I just picked up a clean 1999 Sonoma RCSB with the 4.3. Might eventually do something like this one day.
