Just to add something here. Most of your aftermarket torque converters come with the th350/th700r4 bolt pattern of 10.75, and not the 11 inch that the 4L80E/TH400 had. At least from my past experience, that has been the case. I also know that Hughes performance makes a flexplate (part number HP4004X) that should work as well. Eric L

Also, has anybody had any problems with cracking the stock GM flexplates. From the looks of the pics, thats the upgraded design with more holes in it versus the original design that was proned to cracking in stock truck applications. Thanks, Eric L

I'm going to try to put a TH400 4x4 trany with full time 4x4 transfercase out of a 1979 K20 into my 2002 2500HD 6.0l engine truck. Any help would be great. Teh measurments are the same but not on the TC. What will work? Waht about shifting and the nuetural saftey switch?
