I tried the 0-60 on my speedo for the first time. Thinking of the traction issues you had I needed to be soft of the throttle to keep it from spinning. I took off with low rpm and still burnt the tires through first and most of second. 5.81 sec 284 ft.

I always carry a fire extinguisher in my car. Just in case. it sits right between my seats.

Its always fun to smoke em though! I didn't see the ft marker on the gauge I will have to look for that.

I still haven't done the 1/4 mile test with the gauge. I've only had it up to 97mph and I'm sure in order to do the test I will need to do close to 110. At least I'm hoping it will be that fast. I'm still afraid to push the car until I get more miles on it and I get my 3 point belts installed.

So driving around with the GF tonight and I said hopefully I can get a radio in here soon and she said "why I don't think you need one, I like it without it" I guess she has a little bit of the gearhead bug too.

Decided to check my gas mileage from the last week tonight. I have been getting on it a bunch and it was mostly under 50mph that I put on all my miles, ended up getting 18.2mpg. I guess I will keep my foot out of it for a bit and see if I can get above 20.

All things considered 18.2 mpg is pretty good. Hopefully I will so be posting how many mpg I am getting.

Me too. I have also noticed my daughter has been asking quite regularly if the Camaro will be running soon. I wonder if her getting her driver's permit in October has anything to do with that?

Went out and had some fun again today with the car! I have pretty much driven it every single day since its been back together and I'm having a real good time.

Did some cleaning up of the wire harness which was ran on top of the intake manifold with large convoluted tubing. Took the tubing off and was able to hide the wires under the rails. Next order of business will be to change out my heater hoses and get the temp sender moved into the head instead of the hose. I found some 90* hoses which will work great to clean that area up but its gonna cost $50 for the 2 of them so for now I'm not buying em because I feel like being cheap for a bit. That's going to be $5/ft if you think about it...

Here are some videos, just out having some fun

Engine bay

Exhaust at idle

Revved it up

Acceleration

More acceleration

Something is wrong with one of my tires in this video... I need a posi!

Somehow I missed your last update. The car came out awesome. I enjoyed the videos. Driving it almost every day? You suck.

What's next?

I missed it too! The auto notification must not have worked back in mid August. Love the videos!

I am trying to get mine back on the road. Progress is slow, but more parts just came in.

Hey thanks guys! I haven't been on here really at all since that last post. I ended up with about 600 miles or so put on this year. I would have liked it to be more, but I was mostly using the car for short trips around town. Work ended up getting even busier and the car ended up sitting unused this fall and now its in storage for the winter.

I don't know what to do next... While the car is fun and we enjoy driving it around I kinda miss having something to do to it and I'm being cheap and don't want to buy any more stuff for the car. So I'm in a weird place right now. There are things I want to do like install my 3 point belts, get a headliner and a radio but for whatever reason I can't bring myself to work on it. Like I said I'm being weird, probably just burnt out from the car itself and overtime at work. Also we are planning our wedding because I got engaged in Sept and will be married in Dec. Maybe I should sell the car and start a new project

Looking forward to my layoff sometime around Christmas, that way I can get back to spending some time on here and seeing whats going on with everyone more.

I've done very little work on my car since it was running. A converter, a little nitrous and a rebuilt posi. I don't really have money to spend on it right now, but I love getting in it every now and then to practice bad behavior.
I hope things go your way.
