going to the dark side *engine is in*
That may have been the ones I was actually looking at instead of the L76. I've looked at all the different ones....sorry if I posted the wrong ones OP. Well they would work fine, but may not be the smaller ones I was thinking of.
Would you be able to get some official cross-references for us with the P/Ns? bore, thickness, P/N.
The L76 gaskets I mentioned earlier are the same as LS3/L92 gaskets (#12610046). The LS2 gaskets # 12589227 are the ones I was thinking of. From what I've read on here....either are .051" thick compressed, but the LS2's are smaller in diameter since they were made for the 4" bore. I THINK they are 4.020" and the LS3/L92/L76 are 4.080", but I could be wrong so please research that.
I can get you official part numbers and applications, but it doesn't show gasket bore diameter or thickness.

LS2/L76 are .051 @ 4.020 12589227 $33.95 ea
LS3/L92 are .051 @ 4.080 12610046 $27.95 ea
Lol, I just made it an organized post.

thanks for all the info. i wish i had a cam picked out. i was/am thinking 229/236 my wife likes and i love the sound of it. just can not find a single head... anyone want to buy the single i got?
I would look at something with a little more split unless you are planning on some porting in the exhaust port. But then again, you could do like I always do and just pick up whatever is close to a grind you like for cheap used. LOL What are you needing to get out of that single head? I could ask some of our customers who have talked to me about buying a pair.

deer season has been taking up a lot of time, but i shot a doe last night and going this morning to find her. my arrow grazed a leaf and i think i made a not very good shot i found the arrow but lost the blood trail about 10:30 last night.
That's why you shoot them with a Grappling Hook and leave about 30ft or knotted rope on it so it gets snagged on something while it's in the deer..that's if it's not knocked out as soon as it gets hit.
They said bow season..didnt say how big the bow had to be..

i got the 315s on this weekend also but have to take them back off to torch the bumpstops off. i tried a bfh and it didnt work its too hard in that section...
I've got a pair of MT street radial 295/45-17's mounted on a spare pair of 11" ZR1's. They are almost 28" tall....actually look better on a 9.5" rim, but I only had spares in 11". They seem to fit with no mods (except putting the stock rear springs back in) but it was just a trial fitment. I haven't driven on them yet. Scared to get anything resembling traction until I get my 12 bolt in. You have to jack up the rearend with the car to keep the bumpstops from hitting. If the rear hangs, the bumpstops will hit the sidewall. If you raise it all together, they fit inside the backspacing. It would seem this would spell trouble in driving when your rearend goes through travel, but apparently it wouldn't be a problem unless you were playing dukes of hazzard or otherwise fully extending your rear suspension.

yeah bc when i put the car down it wouldnt let it go all the way down so it looks lifted i have 19x10 c6 replica wheels on the back with 13mm spacer... i like to take turns fast so i would rather just torch them off. plus local pot head stole my jack so i have to use a 2.5 ton bottle jack :/
Maybe I like to wheelstand it so high that it gets on the back bumper and unloads the rear tires!!
Doubt I'll ever even pull one tire in my SS. I don't really want to take it that far. The 61 can tote them for a few feet.

i ran out of sand again today and it got dark before i could get the k member primed. so tomorrow i will have it primed along with some of the suspension parts. so i can roll it around... if we had more room at work i would drop the shortblock in the car.
