Snug down the head with a few of the old bolts and no gasket, measure PTV, then add the compressed thickness of the gasket to your measurement.

I have headstuds installed already how do I shim the lifter without ruining it?

Modify one of your old lifters and make it solid.

I modified a new one. It's easy to go back... But were under a tornado watch tonight and I'm watching the kiddo while my wife is at school... Tomorrow I will get the ptv checked, my valve seals will be here as well so i will have my heads done tomorrow

No kidding im north of Travis and we had tornados, lightning, thunder, hail, all in a few hours...

Yeah it got pretty intense there for awhile... Tin flying through the air, tree across our road, etc... Golfball size hail...

No updates for today... My parts will be here tomorrow but the car is temporarily on hold... My truck is listed for sale and going to auction march 24th and I'm going to slick it up first... New bed, back to dually, new turbo, and new mirrors. I've got a bed and turbo bought just need new tow mirrors and 2 more tires to convert it back

Well... I got the valve seals but they don't have the spring seats on them... So looks like I have to buy those as well! Or send the seals back and get the ones with the spring pads on them

Going to get some simple green and clean the **** out of the inside and take the carpet to the carwash, if that doesnt work then i will replace it. $300 for carpet is kinda high. Considering i installed carpet in my sons bedroom last weekend and it was $175 for it.

I'm going from LT1 6speed to a LS auto also. What are your plans for the shifter and shifter wiring? I cant seem to find specifics on the shifter wiring.

^^Install the F-body Shifter and wire it in, not really that hard to convert to Electronic Auto.
