Project "White Lightning"
Here is the removal of the AC Box..

Bare firewall..

Painted the factory metal box with some good paint..

And here is is installed..

I used the factory AC wiring with the Relay on the Blower Motor, and the Resistor Coil from the AC setup, it was easier to use them and adapt them.

Plenty of clearance on #8 now..

I also managed to wire in a button that I like to call "Sportshift", and have been tuning on the secondary tables for that..
That just goes to show how much room I opened up since I did the install with engine in..
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time

I've been wanting to do it for a while, I built the truck cause I had a buyer that wanted AC.
They backed out so I said f it I'll drive the hell out if it and have fun. With that HVAC box inplace it doesn't have that "incomplete" look..

You can hear the 1->2 squeak of the tires over the exhaust at WOT..

Idling it sounds like a SBC 350 with a cam.. I think it's the Headers making it do that. WOT it sounds like a nice clear LS1..
and your
and then you
And the next week their talking **** about how it had a turbo and nitrous and it barely beat them, so you do this >>>
Hell no it won't- My '99 2.2L Auto sees between 18-20, with only 66K on the clock- People assume because it's a 4 bangin' small truck it gets great mileage, but due to the fact you have to run the **** out of it to stay up with traffic, the mileage sucks- And I drive primarily interstate daily.
I've been saying for the past year when this thing ***** a headgasket, it's getting an LQ9 and a 200 shot. This thread just pushed me one step closer.
