Decided to put the gate on and take off the Chevy logo. All of the badges were taken off so it will look more clean.

Need 4 more things until I get out on the road.
1. Picking up drive shaft on Tuesday
2. Tranny dipstick
3. turbonetics boost controller
4. drive shaft safety loop

All easy stuff and i'm pretty sure the base tune is good enough to get it on the road.

Thanks man I'll have a driving video hopefully next week once I get the brakes bled.

Got the new drive shaft and boy is it beefy. Its 3.5" all the way with Spicer u joints and pinion flange and yoke. Won't have to worry about breaking

Congrats! I have had to change my build up and go with my mustang. I still have to get the transmission figured, but car is here now and easier to work on when I don't have to drive an hour each way + traffic to get to it.

Thanks guys. Hey sarg, does your stang have an LS? If not, I think you need to start a build thread

It WILL have an LS in it. I have just about everything I need to start the build. I don't want to take the car down till I have about everything I need. I am lacking cam, shifter transmission (long story), driveshaft and mufflers But I do have a Circle D billet converter, everything else for the motor all the install parts and my 80mm Borg Warner S380 turbo.

Finally got mine in this weekend and i used the stock truck oil pan, but it wont stay running or rev and the VATS were removed and the IAT is reading -37 whether its hooked up or not. running a speed density tune and there is only one O2 sensor. Any idea on what it is?

Get a new iat sensor, that's one of the major components on getting the truck to run right. The iat changes fuel trims, timing, and airflow so it is pretty important to have a good iat. Also, since you're doing sd, Tune out all of the o2 sensors off you aren't using a maf. All you should have is your wideband. Do you have HP tuners? If so go into the scanner and see what all your sensors read to make sure everything is on track and check timing also. And Freeman, the best part is she ******* hates it! Lol. She loves me

I sent the computer off to Daniel Hughes in AL, and it took him 3 weeks to get it back and im showing codes for 4 O2 sensors and the harness only has one sensor. i don't have HP tuners or the money to get it right now because im in college. Also im showing transmission codes and he claimed he deleted it. i have the Green/Blue connector pcm, could i send it to you or do you know anyone that wont BS me like this guy did?

Hmmm. Well I would need the connectors with it so I could hook it up to a battery with a diagnostics port to tune it because I have blue red connectors so I couldn't hook it up to my truck. And then since i'm not an actual "tuner" I would need to buy $200 just in credits so I could tune it because I don't have the unlimited GM credits like the actual tuners have. So it makes it a mess lol. Since your iat is reading -37 it can't be o2 related so it has to be a bad iat. I would start by replacing that.

so i been driving my truck the past couple days and heres what i have come up with so far.

heres what my intercooler piping looked like the first time i did it

well that ended up hitting my wheel when i took right turns, so i changed it to some flexible plastic **** from oreillys just for a quick temporary fix to i could drive the damn thing.

took it on the road and the intercooler pipe off the turbo blew off so i tightened that after i got back and its on there now so no big deal. opened the hood and found this

yep, had a feeling this would happen. in the mean time, when i took it out for the first time the afr was great and seemed to be running good besides my tranny was messed up and first and second gear ended up being in drive, my drive was pretty much in neutral and wouldnt go, and my reverse sometimes engaged in the right position, and my park was fine so i couldnt really shift it like i wanted it so it never really made it into boost and it always automatically shifted.

so i got a 90 degree pipe from napa and ended up with this

yay! no more boost leaks. took it out on the road, and i actually got it into boost in first gear and it started spinning the tires. im running on the gate spring right now and forgot to check boost pressure but its only at 9lbs and i shifted around 5000 and then it was in auto after that so i couldnt actually run it. later on down the road i lost power steering and then the afr went way lean and the truck killed it self so i parked it in a church lot.

opened the hood and heres what it looked like. the lower radiator hose pissed fluid all over the place, therefore causing the belt to rip and fly off. so i was losing battery and it overheated causing it to go lean and retard until it killed itself. so hopefully within the next day or two ill have the lower hose fixed and a new belt and im going to play with the shifter linkage to see if i can get the tranny working right. im hoping the tranny aint shot because it was just rebuilt and it better not be $1200 down the drain. once i get it going ill for sure have a video once i download the new tune (the current tune is around 20* advanced wot) and run 15* at wot so i can get the thing to pull *** and turn the boost up. ill keep ya posted on whats up

Damn what an ordeal. Good luck getting all the bugs worked out. **** like that always seems to happen with major changes. I remember on my last turbo build with my sti, sarg and I were tuning and on the first full boost pull a coupler popped off at 20+/- psi. I thought I blew the motor it was so loud.

Yeah hopefully the tranny and the radiator hose are the last bugs that need to be worked out. Need to have it driving by the 4th for the car show.
