Thoughts on selling LS2 G35 for new Z06
Well I'm done with my Infiniti G35 Coupe with LS2 475 RWHP. I'm ready for a new toy to start playing with and have been eyeballing the new Z06. I'm thinking of selling my G35 and getting a slightly used Z06 LS7 and supercharging it. Any pros and cons or any thoughts. I've built this car for the last 5 months and very happy with it but the new Z06 is a beautiful car and 500 at the wheels stock. A lot more potential. With my G35 I would have to build a custom setup for FI unlike the Z06.

If you wanted all out speed, you would have bought a z06 in the first place, before building the car. The cars are not comparible IMO. Unique and quick vs. all out speed.
If your priorities have changed, market the Infinity and see what you can get, but don't sell yourself short. There are certainly deals to be had on slightly used z06's.
By the way, I have a little ADHD too, you're not the only one.

I'm not sure on the price. As far as the car goes I love the vehicle. I'm ready to start again but with a 7.0 platform. Even though I completely hate how cheap the inside is in a vette, I do like the platform. LS7 with FI. I'll be happy with that as a daily driver.

As much as I hate to say it, I'd probably have to stay with the infinity, unless you get a damn good price out of it. Lot of time/effort/etc that was put into the car, and while the Z would be a great car to start new again without a doubt, it's still a whole nother car.

That infinity is flipping gorgeous. Must drive like a dream.
The vette has a much bigger performance potential, no question about that. It will handle the power better and has a bigger aftermarket too.
But that infinity screams hard core motor head in a way the vette never will. It is not going to be a cop magnet either.
With the exception of the money you will lose selling the conversion there are no bad choices here.
If you are going forced induction why not start with an LS3 motor like GM did with the L92? I read somewhere they purposely didn't use the LS7 bottom end because it didn't have the performance margin the smaller motor did.

Keep the car, save for an LSA or an LS9 and you'll have 700 reliable horsepower. Or if you really want the 427, drop one in in a little while. Right now your car puts out probably slightly more power to the wheels than a stock z06. Z06 is nice, but it's nothing special like your car.

I don't know... I think the Infiniti interior is a little disappointing compared to what you get with Acura and Lexus, and even Infiniti's larger cars. It's so boring inside. I'm not trying to hate on your car... the swap is immaculate! I'm just not a big fan of the Infiniti G35 and G37 interior.
Go with the Z06!!

Why think about ditching such a clean car? That swap is spotless!!! I say keep the G, besides, with you selling it, you`ll more then likely loose money by selling it. Its a great car i think. I say keep it.

I'm pretty sure its underrated. I heard with a good tune you would see around 520 RWHP. Not sure if those numbers are right. I did have a issue. For the last two days when I drive and get on it most of the time it will go into limp mode. I say limp mode but everything works perfect but the TB. Just Idles. I have to reset the switch on the bat and it works right up. I have to leave for work tomorrow but read that could be the MAF or faulty TB. If I do keep it I'm gonna pull the motor this winter and raised the compression.

Man those 2 cars are at opposite of the spectrum. The Z06 is a monster and is a unique vette BUT your G is 1 of a kind. Z06 are still kinda rare but you will no longer be a unique fish among the rest of the tuna.
Drive the Z06: it will feel faster due to being 200 or so lbs lighter and YES the 505hp 7.0L is very underrated. Youtube stock Z06 dyno pulls--either GM has developed the most effiicient manual transmission in the world recently OR they are underating their motors again
