From what I recall there are only 2 good options, an aftermarket tubular k-member or a 4.6 k-member with custom mounts. I've heard of people using the stock k-member but was told (by a reputable builder) that it will likely lead to poor driveline angles, which leads to vibrations, which lead to premature part failure,........

I guess I dont see how a k-member will lead to better driveline angles...most of the aftermarket K-members put the motor mounts right back in the same spot they were....?

I can see a 4.6 K-member having more clearance than a 5.0 unit though.

Interesting.

Interesting.
I think the oem 5.0 k-member requires the engine to sit up too high (oil pan clearance??) making the angle between the driveline & rearend out of desired tolerance. Don't quote me on this, I made no attempt at fitting the LS with the 5.0 k member.

I'm thinking in between $300-$500+ shipping. $300 being just the hotsides, $500 with intercooler and and turbo's.

I have no use for them and they are just sitting in a rubbermaid box.

Thats a hell of a curve ball dude....

I think I will probably take it. Would like some pics if possible, when you have time of everything. Do you have down pipes too? Lemme know,..if everything looks good, I can do it whenever your ready.

Thanks for the offer.

PTK kits in my face are taunts from the devil. I can't say no to that,...original or not. Just as long as the collectors look good.

Curious......

I know how that kit works on a C5.... How does it fit on a mustang? I see your pic but. Do the down pipes fit/work? Radiator/fan usage? Curious to why you didn't want to use it.

I bought the kit when I was on deployment from Bad Chad which is his car in the picture.

I decided not to run it cause I was going to have to cut a hole in the passenger side strut tower bigger than I would like and ull have to run manual brake setup aswell.

I do have the down pipes but not sure how they fit.

Ill get u some pics of everything later this week.

Oh..I'm thinking Jamie will like the stang even more if he can cut some holes in it

With any luck, the stock hood wont clear the turbos and he'll have to come up with a creative fix....
