If I had my way, I would go manual...just cause I dig powershifting. But, so many people will drive this car,..and for what we are asking of it,..I think it will break, way to soon. I can't afford a TR6060 so,...auto it is. Gonna start looking into picking up a 400. I DO, have a buddy at work that will let me borrow a glide...so, I dunno at moment. I don't like borrowing **** but, I guess we could fix that if I used it and broke it.

Thanks for advise man, noted and appreciated.
We do have one of (the) best glide shops around right there in Davie...ATF. He just rebuilt Bucks glide in the Poopra in fact...

A borrowed glide is cheaper than a cheap 400

If it's going to be primarily track only, then I'd go with the Glide. They're not typically big fans of cruising on the street with a loose stall though.

Actually at my brothers garage. I have been walking over a trans now for over a year.... never even giving it any thought. Then I realized this week, that we took apart my pop's SS396 years ago... and all the parts are here in my brothers garage. Got a hold of him,...asked what trans,..he said a freshly rebuilt turbo 400... that never got put back into the car... with a converter. I asked if I could borrow it,...(I just gave him a turbo for the RX7)...he said no problem... so, the trans has been solved. My truck manifolds have been V banded...and are complete. Just need to remove factory flange bolt holes. Pics tomorrow.

PCM in the works...I have a severed C6 corvette harness,..gonna look into that, or a truck harness... then I need a diff..a drive shaft....few other things.

Project is moving.

The motor is gonna be pretty sick. Nice and sturdy.

Life will be better with a 99-03 truck or f-body PCM.
Vette = ETC, bleh.

Any idea what valvebody is in the trans?
Any internal upgrades?

Pcm is for a truck, a 5.3...

The trans has a shift kit and I don't know what else. I need to look into a transbrake for it...other then that, gonna put it in as is. If it has an issue, we can rebuild it then.

Only thing I was considering using off a vette was the harness that I have . But that's not set in stone. Just lookin to save a buck

C5 or C6 harness?
A C6 harness is going to be set up for a CAN (E38 or E40) processor, you'll need one with the 2 long flat style connectors like on our cars.
Either is going to be set up for ETC...

Bastard. your right. It's a C6..so I need to continue with the plan and get one off a truck or f body. Needs to be cheap though.

Here's the parts I have acquired in the last week...

truck manifolds a buddy welded for me, turbo 400, my co-worker David Paris, great engine builder, smart dude, is gasket matching the truck heads right now, which I have pics here, you can see they're gonna work well. Nothimg crazy, just small improvements. The converter is in here too...ecm I just got today...out of 06 truck.

seeing the difference between ported and unported...exhaust gasket bolted to head..

unported intake runner, that the lip needs to be grinded on each one just slightly for no impact.

06 truck is still going to be ETC...not sure if we can flash it to an older cal...and I really dont think you want to deal with ETC.

I didn't think lowering the floor of the exhaust port was a good thing thats why they go with the "D" shape port.

Read that, somewhere, we'll see. Got a few heads laying around, only thing it's costing us is time. Figure if we could get rid of the impact. We've put together a few lsx motors over the years, and we've not tried this yet. Figured we'd give it a try. Easy enough to do a head swap if needed.

As long as its only opened up for the last .5" or so, it should be fine.

Doesn't look like he actually reshaped the floor or anything....and its not like we're not the kings of making things work that aren't 'supposed to'...lol.

Exactly.

Only the initial impact area removed for direct merge of air from head-to manifold gasket-to exhaust manifold. It's only for smooth transition. It only makes sense to me, that this will work. We're still going into a factory manifold, into not so large turbos. This should be a simple efficiency law....in our heads anyway. Same goes for the intake manifold to cylinder head transition. Exhaust will not be polished-

Any insight on that ECM flash? Cause I agree with you.

...thinking today. Since I have 120 pound injectors,..and 160 pound injectors,..I'm gonna be running E85 in both cars...I have the driver box in the vette, seems to work great... it may be cheaper for me to just buy another versafueler instead of buying 8 injectors. Agree? Spending 280 or whatever it is, is cheaper then 380.

Hey great build man, i just got my Team Z k member, it looks just like your aje k member, but on the team z member it doesn't have any poly bushings wondering if there would be a problem running the bolt thru. also what motor mounts are you going to use, stock Ls1?
