yes im running a 4l80e.. no didnt cut trans tunnel.. but i made my own motor mounts..causing it to sit to low.. steering arm hitting oil pan.. cant turn left all the way.. ill eventually fix it..

ok well motor let two rods go..didnt even get to put any boost on it.. ..parting it out.. and ive already bought an 2008 4.8,,well they sold it to me as 4.8,, but im pretty sure its a 5.3... blue paint mark on the 5.3 on the front..im going o runn the crank numbers..

Sorry to hear about your motor, but from what we have seen of your work, I doubt it will be much of a setback.

oh i put the new motor in today 
its becoming peiace of cake..
ran into one problem.. the truck intake, i have shorty injectors.. ..so i guess im going to lok for cheap ls1 or ls2 intake.. only set back right now. from firing it up.. pulled pan off..and man cleanest motor ive seen.. excited to put some boost to it..

Truck intake is UGLY...... i may get ls2 intake.. this motor is staying comptly stock.beside valve springs. ls6.. i may put the ls3 cam in it.. dont kno yet.. i do have it laying aroundd...
