Default LS1 RX7 guys, how does this car look as far as a swap goes?

Don't buy it out from under me, but how does this look as far as doing a LS1 swap? Good car? What would it cost me total to do this including the 8,500 price of the car. Break it down for me. Here is the link http://www15.brinkster.com/replicoz//rx7rc.htm

8500 sounds a bit high for a rolling chassis. The guy sounds a little too proud of his wheels, tires and fender flares.

Keep looking. Why not do an FC. I got a VERY clean roller for $1400 and I probably paid a premium. Just make sure its a TII model.

Seems high to me. He says 4k for the wheels but he can only sell them for 2k. He is trying to take 0 depreciation on the wheels. I got my FD rolling chassis for 5500 but it was a tan interior car. I would do it for the $6500 with out his wheels and just get the stock wheels or whatever wheel you want for much much less. It is an ugly wheel in my opinion.

$6500 yes $8500 I would pass.

I dont like the 335's and the fender flares. It looks wrong. I would just put a pair of 275's back there. I'll keep looking. Also, what did the swap cost you minus engine and rolling chasis?

How can it cost 10,000 minus car and LS1/tranny when hinson will do it turn key for 7,000? Hinson says it will take 3,500 worth of their parts. I'm trying to figure out if this is affordable or not!

Just for reference guys, I stumbled upon this thread when looking up RX7's on the LS1 site. I got 6500 out of the car with no wheels, and later sold the wheels for 2800. The going rate for 3rd Gen RX7s is up there a bit. 6500 took mine, however if it was in better condition interior and exterior wise it would have pulled 7-9K complete with a blown motor. Good luck with the 3rd gen Rx7 find man. later guys. And what's up Andy. How is the car holding up?
