Default What car should receive the LS1?

I have a 2002 Z28 that i am pulling the motor and trans out of for a swap. The two vehicles i already have to put it into is either a 70 chevelle or an 80 camaro. Both cars are in close to same condition, not show cars but decent drivers. Which car do you guys think would be the better candidate for the swap? Just trying to get some feelings of what way to head.

Thanks
Andy

70 all the way, worth more than the 80 and will hold value better, depending on your emissions law too, you wont have an issue with the 70, IMHO

Which one do you want to drive? I'd do the chevelle, but I'm biased.

I agree, I would perfer the Chevelle over the 80's Camaro anyday. Now if it was a 1st or 2nd gen Camaro, we might have a different conversation.

It depends what you want to do with the car. If you want a lighter car that will handle better, then the Camaro will work better. If you want a cool older car, then the Chevelle.

Yeah, my bad. I was thinking of the earlier design 70 - 73. I'm a little slow on the up take.

x2 on that. The Chevelle will turn more heads. The Camaro will turn more corners. Now, if the Camaro were an older 2nd Gen or a Trans Am, it wouldn't be a choice for me. But then again, I'm biased.

Camaro. Everyone has a hopped up Chevelle. You don't really see hopped up '80's Camaros.

80 camaro, you never see people do 'em, and it would be more of a sleeper IMO.
