Coming along nicely. I have a 79 I'm putting a iron block 5.3 in so I'm taking notes. Looks like your using the 2nd Gen radiator, what is the part #on that upper hose?

Both upper and lower rad hoses are off 2005 silverado, had to trim bout 3-4 inches off thermostat side of lower rad hose, plus the upper rad hose splice from "jags that run" is ****, it has coolant air bleed and takes care of steam vent hose...

Good luck on the wire hunt! I had the opposite problem, I had wired the controller to 12V, not ignition so the first time I got hte car running I could key it off! I had to run to the back and pull the ground cable and hope I didn't fry anything! You will find it soon.

Sub'd for first start vid!

Hope to be driving this week! I have to figure out why the damn turn signals are staying lit solid even though I have bulbs in the front and back, I had to wire in new sockets up front so maybe I switched a wire...we will see I can't wait to drive

On the good side the clutch works like a charm, I was worried there would t be enough pull, but it works good...great success!!!

Awesome work! Congrats. It is very rewarding to see the body back together and engine running isn't it! Now work out a few of those bugs and get some paint on that thing. Shes a little..."redneck pretty" right now

He'll yea, I'll have to get a one color solid coat of primer before the local car show in a month, but for me it's about the drivetrain and performance, looks are secondary in my book...my 98 z28 has a couple scratches and dents too, but it adds "character"!

Anyway thanks for the feedback I appreciate it, always motivates me for sure...

Well it looks like tomorrow will finally be the day I get to drive the car on street, jut got my insurance and plate today...only thing left is to re install the rear window (luckily my buddy is a glass tech so no worries there lol)...I planned on having the interior all ready to go but the damn headliner material I ordered was 3 inches too short on both sides, just my luck...I have the sunroof out of the car now but I don't really care as long as it isn't raining I'm gonna drive this damn car regardless...I finally put it down on its wheels after having to fix a leaking pinion seal, shitty summit racing fuel filter leak, a rear brake line leak...so at least ill give it a night to settle in in all the new springs and bushings...anywhere here is how she sits (check out my $15 eBay grille, score!) also there is a parts-o-Rama event this weekend in my area so hopefully I can score a z28 hood scoop which is definitely needed lol

First drive today, great success! Went for a couple mile drive and no leaks, failures, and the custom clutch linkage worked flawlessly...it lit up those 14 inch rims that's for sure!

Congrtulations! Though I don't know what was better, watching your first drive or your buddy's commentary

Well finish up a few loose ends and start putting on some miles! AND BTW, we need video proof of these alledged 14" wheel burnouts!

Great work man, keep it coming.

Car looks, scratch that, SOUNDS good. This build thread made me buy back my 79 Camaro. I am sorting out the parts that came with the car now. Do you need any interior panels? Mine is a black interior, non-a/c car in good condition. I am stripping mine down, so all those panels have got to go.

If you had the upper trim for the interior on the rear window that holds the headliner in you would be my hero, but I would think you would need that...and thanks on the sound the flowmaster 40 series were worth the cash...I will have in solid gray primer in the next week or so to match my all new dark blue interior I'm installing now
