great job thus far. dont be afraid to wrap those headers. there 310 stainless and there .100 thick tubing/pipe. they should take a beating. i forgot to tell you that when i built those i modded the water neck to point down. great job.

is that stock or did someone port it? Maybe you could fill in the gap with a thin layer or JB weld or something around where the blade should seal.

That would be a pretty easy part to have a machine shop build you.

Default DIY throttle blade

I agree You could even do it yourself. I'm sure the screws are staked on the back side to keep them from coming loose (just like a Holly throttle plate). So from the back you grind the staked part off and the take the three screws out. Measure the ID of the throttle body at the point the blade fits. Now you can either make a pattern on some paper or draw it directly on the metal. Next get a regular old school compass ( you know point on one end; pencil on the other) set the distance between the pints at half your diameter and draw a circle. I would lay the old throttle blade down on your circle center it up by eye and mark the mounting holes. I'd make them just a tiny bit bigger to give yourself a fudge factor. If it's not perfect get it close then take a Sharpie color the the contact area on the inside of the barrel and the outer diameter of the the new throttle blade. Bolt it up work it a few times look to see where the marker rubbed off those are the spots that need your attention. One last thing round the edges; this will make it easier to handle and less likely to hang up ect. O.K. one more last thing locktite the screws.

Sorry just had an Idea and got carried away; not trying to tell what to do. But based on what you done in just this thread I real do think this well inside your skill set.

Great build! Just read through all 9 pages! I am going to build a boosted LsX one of these days, just not sure what I am going to put it in yet. Maybe my 5.0, but meh.
