The wife and I took a 700 mile road trip over the thanksgiving holiday. We really enjoy traveling in the chevelle, we watched the sun rise as we left Texas.
Snapped a few pics of the car in front of my aunt and uncles custom built house. I admit its very nice but the garage doesn't have a lift... So it wouldn't work for me lol.
And shortly after crossing back into Texas we got to see another beautiful Texas sunset.
The chevelle ran great, and I took several family members for a ride, abused the clutch a little, but hey, that's what it's for!
Only issue I have to report is my griffin radiator is seeping from the top three cross tubes, ill post a video.

Glad you had a good trip, looking foward to be able to do the same. Quick question, Does your drive shaft touch your exhaust? I have the same setup and it rubbed when crossing RR Track, no way I could jack on anything but the axel without removing the drive shaft, thinking I need to limit travel, shorter shocks? straps?

Glad you found something. My x pipe is just below the drive shaft with the car on a lift and the axle at full drop. It's a little low this way and its rubbed twice on speed bumps or high driveways. My original setup was tight to the driveshaft with the car on the ground. Tons of clearance but had the same issue your up against. It's a catch 22.

I haven't uploaded the video of the leaking radiator to YouTube yet but I did talk to griffin, they want me to send the radiator to so they can 'verify' its a factory defect.. Seems like a huge hassle and a waste of time.. I don't like the idea of having my car down for two weeks or more over a faulty radiator.
On a better note I did take the time to install a hotchkis 1 3/8 front sway bar. It's truly like night and day compared to the factory 7/8 bar.

Thanks for kind words guys.
So it's been crazy in tx with ice ... Finally thawed out and got some pics of the radiator.. Haven't had time to pull it and send it back, and really I'm on the fence about just buying another, I drive the car almost daily (gets 19.5mpg vs truck 12.5 mpg) I really don't want to wait 3 weeks or a month for some one at griffin to tell me it's bad, clearly it's not 'good'

Went for another trip, 350 miles this time around. Car is running great, just a very small leak from the radiator but not enough to cause me to stop driving it. Just irritating. It was cold and over cast. Had a great time seeing some family.

I know your car was a non-air car. What is your opinion though - do you think there would be engine clearance problems with a factory air chevelle if the stock evaporator core housing is utilized? Or should I scrap it and go with an after market ac system?

Interesting you ask, Im in the middle of helping a friend with an el camino LSX swap and he is determined to use the stock evap housing, the valve cover does touch the housing and will require a bit of modification and fiber glass work for clearance.
That being said, after its all said and done, I bet he will wish he went aftermarket and smoothed the firewall.
