The car is looking good, especially rolling around on Hoosiers! I noticed from the pics you are running an a pillar gauge setup, did you make it yourself?

No, I bought it from the local parts store and screwed it to the factory trim. I have a boost guage and wide band in it.

Mine fit just fine for a bolt on gauge pod. What are they worth, 40 bucks? I wasn't about to complain. lol

OK, TEA is in the top 5, but there are guys who can get close-enough results just porting by hand rather than by CNC. Probably Tony Mamo, definitely myself, and probably a hundred unknown guys.
I'm not sure "horny" is the right word, but it did get me to find a 4.8 which will get a real-world build with a better cam ( way less overlap ) and some more appropriate heads ( starting with 243s or 799s to replace my crack-prone 706? castings ) expecting more like 700 RWHP on pump premium unleaded.
That cam Richard Holdener used was healthy for an LS2, but it was flat wrong for that combo. He had to tune around it.
And did anyone notice those injectors were way too small to support 1203 HP? He would have had to raise the fuel pressure far beyond practical. Yet the article didn't address that. Possibly explains, at least in part, why the no-boost pulls ran 7000 RPM, but the boost pulls stopped short, at only 6500. Springs might have contributed as well, but again, not addressed. The cam description says it pulls 7200, so I wouldn't stop the pulls until then, unless something broke.
I was reading this thread for ideas of what hot side A/R would give what range of RPM for spool-up on a little 4.8, but really the 3-valve 4.6 builds are proving more helpful.

I didn't choose the 4.8 because of the Hot Rod article. I chose it because it was $450 with all the accessories. I didn't have a lot of funds so it was the logical choice. I am also not shooting for 1200hp either. I figured a 500-550 hp would be a good goal. I think I'm pretty close now and still have to install my LS6 cam and get a dyno tune. I'm happy with what I have.

Real world application:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...80tq-4-8l.html

Stock unported truck heads...
Speed Inc Tu1 cam 225/225 .581 .581 113+1 (minimal overlap)

Shows that you don't have to follow their recipe to the tee... or to the TEA in this case.

Just boost it! The engine will take care of the rest. lol
(Disclaimer: With all the correct supporting hardware, injectors, fuel, fuel pumps, etc, etc, etc... )

Real cool build I'm about to go on an ebay shopping spree and your thread has made me completly rethink my turbo setup. I really like how your twins have very minimal welding and could easily route the downpipe to a dime a dozen offroad Hpipe. ( ebay GT45 with DP exiting in front of the tire was my original plan, which kinda killed my sleeper goal)
What fuelpump do you have and what size feed lines?
Have you considered your spark may be being blown out causeing your power loss? If power drops off at a low rpm that may be the colprit.
Hope you get it all squared a way soon.

I use an A1000 pump mounted under the bumper. There are pics of the fuel system in this thread. The car makes plenty of power, I am just still learning. I've changed a few things since it's been tuned so it needs it again. Remember... Still a stock cam in 4.8!
