LS6 springs with boost? Risky....... Patriot Golds or at least PAC1518 or PSIm11 or whaever the pn is at minimum imo you cant have too much spring ( within reason ).

Be sure to keep an eye out for valve float on the dyno when you tune it.

Only gonna put 8psi to it. I read the Hot Rod article and they used LS6 springs with 12psi to fix float, and then they used an LS6 cam afterward. Plus they are already in the engine. I want to put a cam in later so I will probably buy a cam, spring and pushrod kit later on.

Indeed im sure as pretty much all of us have done. I hope you understand Im only posting about the springs to try and help you save your investment of time and money. How many guys build cars only to blow them up in the first month? Especially with boost so.... just keep your eye on valve float and you might be okay but I wouldnt run those springs.

Whos going to tune it?

Here is some video of the car with some full boost pulls.

I would like to thank BLK02WS6 for his help. He did some street tuning for me and did an excellent job. We had some issues with the PCM and he worked through it so I can now play in Boosted Glory!!!

Tough to do videos by yourself. I took the 4.10s out and put in 3.08s. Pulls super hard on the top end, but isn't great on the low end. Has stock converter too. I think next week I'm gonna throw the 4.10s back in and try them.

No problem, glad I could help!

Definitely needs more gear and a converter! That will wake it up a bunch! Since it is only making 5#, you may wanna get some more springs too...

man i ment to put : "wasnt disapointed" , autocorrect fail on part
i liked the videos! thats why id put very cool under it lol

i have just always been told the turbos liked the numerically lower gears up top.
my 12 bolt also has 4.10's in it now and planned on doing 3.31 more then likely.

i see a lot of people doing 3.08 or even higher ( numerically lower ). and they have all said id hate the 4.10's

Nice vid, if you put a converter in that thing it will definitely come to life. Are you planning on running 5# for a while or that's just the springs you had?
