dies in gear

dies in gear I have a lq9 with the factory underhood fuse box. This has been running good until today. Still runs great but when I put it gear it dies. This is in a 1970 chevy truck and the motor trans are 2004. What could be some of the places I should start looking.

Thanks, Will start digging into it when the morning gets here. Had to bring her home on flat bed tonight. Have to count to ten or ten thousand before I pick up the baby...lol. Stressful day.
I assume that this is a 4L60E transmission and drive by wire?

Some more info. I looked at grounds and did not see anything. Checked the codes and all that was there was a p0315(crank not learned), this has been on for some time. Truck runs good until putting it in gear and then it just turns off. I put test light to some stuff and when put in gear there is no power to injectors or fuel pump. Put back in park and power comes back on.
This is 2004 lq9, drive by wire, 4l60e trans and it is in a 1970 c10. I put about 4000 miles on it this summer and had no problems.
Online friends HELP. I don't know what in the trans would make this thing shut off and not give a code?

Is the switched power for your harness tied to the vehicle's neutral safety switch some how? I bet if you put the thing in Neutral it runs!

Thanks for the idea but I had tried that also. The thing would only run in park so I took the neutral safety switch off the trans and left it plugged into the wiring. The damn thing runs and drives fine. Not sure what happened but something is messed up in that switch (maybe).
