EFI carb style TB or ls TB with elbow?
I have a carb style intake for my ls engine, but I am a drive by wire setup (98 vette computer).
I am trying to find out if there is a carb style DBW TB out there, or if it makes more sense to just get an elbow and use regular LS style TB.

I can, I am just seeing if other people have found a carb style TB that is DBW and which elbows, and DBW TB's people have used, sorry if my original post did not communicate that to well.

At one time Mast was advertising an adapter to put a standard LSx throttle body (either DBW or DBC mounting pattern) onto a 4150-style carburetor flange. This would orient it in the up direction without an elbow. I can't find it on their site, but I remember them posting a screen shot of it at one point. If you run an SD tune without a MAF you could put a carb style air cleaner on it for a retro look. If you are going to run MAF, you will likely be running an intake tube horizontally anyway and in that case I would use a TB elbow.

Keep in mind if you want to run carb style air cleaner like that you'll almost certainly need to go to a MAF-less speed density tune. I suppose you could put a honeycomb style MAF right over the TB and hide it inside the air cleaner if it's big enough, but I can't imagine the sensor response would be very good and by that point you may be better off with SD.

Well technically you could have the vertically oriented TB then build your air intake with an elbow to a MAF. Really depends on how you want to set it up.
Just thinking out loud here: using the elbow between the intake and TB will add plenum volume; not sure if that helps or hurts. I would think having the TB vertical with a sharp elbow in front of it would bias airflow to the leading side of the butterfly somewhat. In that case I'd lean toward elbow between the TB and the intake with the TB oriented horizontally.
