Well got it all wired up today, and all my misc. Stuff done. Turn the key fuel pump came on tried to start it and nothing it just cranks. Got fuel at the rail but no spark. Plugged mt scan tool in and got code p1336 crank sensor relearn. Anyone know how to fix this?

What kind of scan tool are you using? Tech2 and Snap On have crank relearn in the generic functions area. I didn't have to do that. Plus I looked into it and I needed to have the trans and parking brake wired into the PCM.

I think I remember the Snap On scanner wanting the car to be in park with the e-brake on. If your PCM was set up for manual it may be looking for e-brake switch signal and maybe clutch switch engage signal.

Yeah ive read that in few other threads and guys are having problems with the gm scanner too not reconizing the ecm to relearn the crank. Ive also read some tuners delete that code rate out of the ecm. I did apply power to the brake swith wire but still had nothing. Im out of ideas guess ill let the man that made it figure it out.

LOL, if I can remember, in the morning I will hook the Snap On to the Vette and see what it says to do. I'll let you know. I do think the car should start and run though. The car has to run to do a crank relearn. You will need to get it running before the PCM knows the differance between the crank and cam. At least thats how I remember when I worked at Chevy 10 years ago.

HHMMMMMM!! I'm sure that is not a crank relearn problem is the issue. If I remember correctly the car has to be running for the crank relearn. I would check and make sure you are getting 12v to the coils and then check for ground signal from PCM. Noid light is the easiest way same as injectors. I really think something else is wrong other than the crank relearn for the car not to run.

So you are getting 12v to the connector on the valve cover where the coils plug into but not at each coil individually? That means either the connector is pinned wrong(different year maybe) or there is a splice after the connector bad. You shouldn't have to crank the engine to see if you get 12v at each coil connector. You may have a bad ground too.
