Good deal on the hood fitting. Sounds like the cars coming along real good. I would like to hear how the Tanksinc pump does with low fuel and cornering.... That was my problem with the Spectre tank, below 1/2 tank and a right hand corner and it would die...If you get a chance, try it, and lets us/me know. Im have one to put in my 66's tank, soon hopefully.....

You have to watch using the oem line, as the fuel expands it will push out the line, under the hood if the tank is full enough, might even make a siphon. I put a rubber vaccuum plug over my oem tank line and just use the vented gas cap. Haven't had a problem yet. I found out about the the cap when I converted the BBC to elec pump. My cap was smashed on the inside and I didn't know it and as the tank emptied it caused a vaccuum in the tank that the pump couldn't push through. needless to say the acted like it ran out of gas, till I popped the cap and primped the pump, than it ran.

Just got one more bug and thats an overheating issue i believe i got air in the system with both fans running she still climbs to like 220's so got to figure it out then i can be riding.

Ok so just the cap for a vent doesn't work, so the next plan is attach a hose where the sending unit is and put a fuel filter in the end and stand it straight up and make it the highest point. Hopefully this will work.

Why wouldn't the vented cap work. It works fine on my car. Is you cap working properly? I had that problem one time and vaccuum built up in the tank and kept the pump from sucking up the gas. I put the vented cap on and have no problem since.

The vented cap is a one way valve. It will keep a vaccuum form building in the tank as the fuel level goes down but will not let the fuel fumes back out of the car. You will always get pressure in the tank, which isn't a bad thing. If the tank has some pressure it will help force gas into the pump.

As long as it doesn't make the tank collapse when you are on a long trip.

No, didnt get to do the cornering like i wanted to but i did do pulls with only 5 gallons in the tank and had no issues. I just filled it up today so now im doing the MPG test. Don't think its going to be to great.

Sorry man forgot all about you, The 3.55 aren't bad i turn 2800 and 60mph with a 26" tire. I think she would react better with a 3.90 and up rear shes no tire burner while just punching it from a 5-10 mph roll. But she runs decent when she gets going. Think its all in my head still to cuz i was used to that BBC torque.

Well I got some data back today Ive put about 80 miles on her ran great with no major issues. I was hoping for like 12-13 mpg but that didn't happen I came in around 10.5 mpg.
