No backseat from the minitub but otherwise yes. Manual doors, non a/c car with the heater box intact but only working defroster

like a idiot i put arp rod bolts in the original slug......it ate a rod bearing out of #2 cylinder. could have fixed the motor had i really wanted to but it would cost as much as another jy motor

well since i painted the block before it went in i decided to continue a little bit with it today. sandblasted a spare set of alve covers and coil brackets to paint up. brackets are silver and covers are supposed to be a blue chrome/anodized blue look. as it cures it seems to be getting a little more on the shiny side. over the winter i will probably ceramic coat the hotside and do something with the coldside as well just not sure what yet. heading to cecil on the 20th to go for some sub 9.50's hopefully since i am now licensed to lol. next year hoping to get into the 8's possibly on the stock bottom end

I did the exact same thing and when I had it all together I was about to put the oil pan on amd it came into my head I should get them resized so I took everything out and the shop said good thing you didn't leave the slugs in there. I never told them I had it together already lol **** happens I guess right? I'm about to start my lq4 s480 this weekend for the first time... I've seen yours on YouTube it sounded awesome! What psi and timing? I think ill be running e85 as well.

yup **** happens, i shoulda known better but i can be kinda impatient lol. she is right at 20lbs and has a ton of timing in her.......a whole 15*, extra timing only gave 6-7rwhp per degree so so put it back to 15 and cranked the boost. seemed to work very well

Ok what is the point of resizing after arp rod bolts? Please excuse my stupidity. I am just not familiar.

the extra clamping force basically deforms the big end of the rod compared to the stock bolts. this prematurely wears(in my case spits out) the bearing.

think of it like overtightening a rubber bushing. if you stop were its supposed to be its ok but if you over tighten the thing is becomes deformed and cant work properly

Ya i honestly was just going to do one bolt at a time and i figured it would be fine but i'm glad i took them out it only cost me 80 bucks and i left the slugs in so it was def worth that 80 bucks haha.........I hope i can put down similar power to what you have.

went to a car show today for work.....just went to rep for work, ended up with this behemoth that barely fit into the car to drive home. 1 of 15 this size and all were sponsor picks. pretty good out of 200-250 cars
