Default 86 Notch lq4/s480,cam 700/780 e85! 9.15@153

just got this running, have some bugs to iron out yet before the dyno. here is a quick rundown.
WAS a 408w/glide/pt101 and hurt the block and the car sat for a year and some months. i couldnt stand it so i picked up a lq4 and slapped it in place. picked up a gt4202 on trade for other parts and went to town. at the moment its a stock motor minus arp rodbolts. put some 120lb injectors in it and put some e85 in the fuel cell. i've built this car from the ground up except for having a buddy paint it for me so any questions feel free to ask. msdfor the ignition and gen 7 for fueling(still had from the 408w)

here is a little startup video as well. only has about 3ft of open 4'' downpipe

I remember watching you build this car over at V6P. What did it end running with the 408 combo. What are you expecting from the new combo?

it made 841rwhp on 92 octane and went 9.27@134 lifting at the 1k ft for license passes. ended up having a lifter crap out and hurt the block. being that its a stock truck cam still i will be happy with 500-550rwhp on e85 and if it makes more thats better lol. eventually im gonna do a mild-ish cam and see what the turbo has got lol

went back to the track tonight, ran a handful of mid/high tens sorting it out and then last apss of the night it went 9.92@133 with a 1.46 60' time.....still soft imo. 1/8 time was 6.33@110. mid=pass she lost the serp belt so i gotta figure that out now but for the second outing i am very pleased for this jy dog

Great build! I love your car. I like the fact you are running the stock truck intake too.
What is your rear gear ratio? Im sorry if I missed it in your build, also what stall speed?
You and 71' Chevy give me hope with my little 5.3
Congratulations !!! If you raise the starting line rpm do you think it will 60' better? How much boost are you leaving on?

converter is a 10'' piece from lenny at ucc, built as a 3200 stall for behind my old 408w/101mm
3.08 rear gear with a 315/60/15(30'') drag radial @ 13.5lbs pressure
trans brake with the msd 2 step at 3500rpm and roughly 10lbs i believe

next trip im gonna up it to 3800 and see what happens lol. total boost is 15lbs for now since its on pumpgas

What size is your serpentine belt? Looks like you deleted the power steering and cut the Alternator/PS bracket.
