anybody know if its ok to run long plug wires. don't know much about this newer stuff. Im wanting to put the coils in between the intake runners and run wires to plugs

They flow great, they are right with a LS6 through the whole range .The LS6 only slightly better in the upper range but only by 2 hp . Once I opened mine up I spend a lot of time porting , removed all posts , casting flash, contoured ports and runners and increased the log from 74 mm to 78 mm all the way to to roof opening. I would expect mine to out perform a LS6 after porting.

I have been working on smoothing my intake this morning and have found out that the scotch brite red and brown pads work pretty damn good for smoothing. The brown one takes a little off as needed and the red one smooths it almost to as smooth as the original casting is. Of course this on the end of a die grinder. Oh and the best part they are not caking up.

I posted this earlier in this thread, one source, is the all the material that you remove can be used for plugs . As for filler rod or sheet many companies sell it like Urethansupply.com . The material is Nylon 66. it depends on the welder used but I use black cable ties they are Nylon 66 and it cheaper than filler rod.
