that's to keep water out. if it gets in there it rots the sensors and harness. good practice whenever they are exposed for service.

The engine I got had a knock sensor that was rotted badly because of water intrusion. Was a bitch to get out, but luckily no permanent damage to any of the motor. Just had a little corrosion to clean up and a new sensor to buy.

Got my 98-99 F-Body manifolds I bought off of blackphantom (excellent seller by the way, very fast shipping!)

I have some exhaust manifolds off my 2001 that don't have the goofy looking egr port sticking up I would have given to ya lol

Needed the 98-99 style manifold to cut the flange off and weld a tube on since the flange would hit the frame rail, and the 00-02 style are cast iron I believe, makes them harder to weld to supposedly. Thanks though! Up in winterport huh? I'll probably try and make it to winterport dragway when I head back up that way in the fall for school if it's still open.

No more updates as of yet. New AC compressor is in the mail since the one that came with the pullout was damaged. I've also done some rationalizing and realized I can afford a T56 just yet, so I picked up another 4L60e. Will post pics of that later tonight I suppose, nothing special. Stock 4L60e out of an 04 5.3 Silverado with 30k on it. Corvetter servo is also in the mail. Wiring harness is 6 weeks out, and I start work in a week here so the money will start pouring in as will the parts!

You may want to try a 99-02 truck intake, they were cable driven TB and my work with your TB.

I checked out the two throttle bodies and the intake manifold and I can't see where a vacuum leak might occur, so I think it should be fine as is...

DBW TB:

DBC TB:

Intake and two TB's:

Am I missing something? I don't see where a vacuum leak would occur.

I did the opposite, put a DBW on an LS1 intake and the ports are a little different. Your set up doesn't look like you will have that problem.

I had a 99 xtreme. I really like that little truck. This looks like a great swap.

Its coming along, the worst part about the stage your (and me) at is having to look at all these cool parts you bought and not being able to put them in. Looks good, you"ll have to check out my swap thread too.

It really is though haha, I may or may have not been sitting on the floor of the shop the other day pretending I was driving it while shifting the T56.

I'm only 20...20 year olds still play imaginary race car right?...right?

Either way, I'm glad other's find my thread useful. Paying off some loans, parts should start flying through the door in a few weeks first of which my oil pan so i can pull the 2.2 and get this L33 fitted in the truck. I'll have to pick up some steel for my notches.

Yup, keeping both AC and heat! She's my daily so both are pretty necessary.
