Agree intake looks good and think if you took your plastic radiator shroud to a machine shop and had them bend up something out of alum and polished it up itd look great. Nice swap but you cant wait to enjoy it

Thanks guys! I agree, I think the LS6 intake is so much better than the truck intake, can't wait to get some vette rail covers on their! Then it will look real clean!
Here's the link to the shift boot, I got it for like $40 on ebay. It's really nice, real leather. Matches the stock interior color pretty well...
http://www.drakeautomotivegroup.com/...A.aspx?wid=141
The bracket uses a pump from an 88-89 chevy pickup and uses the stock LS power steering pulley, AC Delco PN 36-517091
Here's the little bracket I made for the center console...
Here's how I have the shift boot secured for now...
I want to find some flexible edge trim to wrap around the edge of the boot and cover up the screws like this...

Back on the road...air damn is actually on it now and I had to put the stock spindles back on for now as well, had some rubbing issues I didn't feel like dealing with at the moment.
Didn't get many pictures of the exhaust but here are some. Came out nice.
And my dad giving it a quick rip haha
Drove it up to school tonight. Got 24mpg at 75mph with a few hard throttle hits, I think it will improve a lot with a good tune.

What did you use for a driveshaft? Do you know the lenght off hand? I need to have one made.
have you checked the mileage any more? I'd be happy with my truck if it can pull 24mpg when its finished.
Nice build,
Kory

I haven't. I need to top it off, drove it up to school doing 70 last night. I'll be interested to see what I get from that. From the gas gauge it looked about the same, we'll see. For the drive shaft I had the stock one cut down, I don't remember what the length was. I think it's written down on the receipt from the drive shaft shop, when I head home next weekend I'll dig through my receipts and see if I can find the length for you. If I were you I would just measure it yourself though.

I've got to hand it to you.....you DID invent a better mousetrap. I am going to have to try that little trick. I usually crimp and then solder, but that is pretty slick.
If you had to do it all over again, would you notch for the A/C compressor? I was thinking of doing the same thing on a Caprice wagon. Just notching a bunch out for the truck compressor, and not spending a bunch on relocation brackets.

If I did it again, I would do vette accessories and use one of the Holley Cast AC compressor brackets that relocates the compressor up on the passenger side cylinder head. Would give it a factory look and require one less notch. And I wouldn't of had to modify my idler arm which would have been another bonus. I would like to find another frame and get it blasted and powder coated and setup everything as stated above. I'll probably get into another project before that happens though, who knows.

Cracked a brake line, had to tow the truck home from school...
With the help of my dad we fixed the rear brake line and threw new wheel cylinders and shoes on the rear. Brakes are all bled and good to go for a test drive tomorrow so I can see how these work...
Made some leaf spring clamps to try and remedy my wheel hop on the cheap until I can pick up some caltracs.
I've heard stories of people having good luck with these and some not. For $15 and about an hour of my time, I figured I would give it a try. I've got some 1" blocks coming as well to get the stance right.

Went to goodguys east coast nationals this weekend. Some cool cars there, but all I cared about was hitting up the auto cross which was by far the most fun I've had in a while. I was the first car on the track in the morning, ran all day and made the second to last run of the day. Met a lot of cool people while I was their, shot the **** with the guys for ridetech who loved the truck and even took a couple of them for a ride. It was a great weekend, I can't complain. Drove the truck 3 hours there, beat the snot out of it for 4 hours on the autocross and then drove it 3 hours home without a single hiccup. I got plenty of video, working on making a compilation! Here's some pictures of the truck on and off the track.
Washing up for the track!
waiting to get teched, talking with some of the other drivers.
Brought the truck over to the ridetech booth to get it weighed in, some guys from the GM Performance booth came over to take a look at the truck and were digging it! Guys from ridetech were awesome, they were at the same hotel we were staying at and we shot the **** with them the whole time. Good guys.
Weight distribution, 56% front 44% rear. Half tank of gas no driver. Not bad distribution!! I though it would be lighter though, but it does have the tonneau cover on it and the sub box which would take a couple hundred off.
Cooling down after the last run
Mustang owner upset because he got beat by a pickup truck, HA! Had AFR heads as far as I could see on the motor mods and had apparently just spent a few grand on the rear suspension and axle. Made me happy haha
First run in the 50's...

And my last run of the day, also my fastest at 50.212! If I had a few more passes I'm sure I could of gone sub 50

Autocross results...
First place was a GT500, second was a ZL1, and third was a built camaro on wide sticky tires. Fourth was my pickup truck haha, the kill list includes a pair of challengers, a Camaro SS, a couple mustangs including a new 5.0, a few chargers, a C5 Z06 Vette and some others.
I f**king love this truck haha. Can't wait to take it further.

I can't afford this thing anymore, I'd like to pay off some loans I have rather than driving this truck right now. It's a great driver as it sits, but for where I want to go with it my pockets just aren't that deep at the moment. And I'd rather be debt free with some cash in my pocket right now.
SO...if anyone is seriously interested in the truck or knows anyone interested in it send me a PM me and we can talk price. I'll be working up an add to post on a few other forums over the next few days on top of posting it for sale locally. I've got plenty of parts to roll along with the truck as well (new front valance that needs paint, new bumper on the truck that also needs paint, lots of stock parts, etc...)
Quick overview...
L33 Engine (37k miles)
LS6 intake manifold
Holley LSx pan
T56 M12 from a GTO (50k miles)
CPW Harness
CPW mounts
Sanderson coated 1 5/8" headers
2.5" true dual exhaust w/ x-pipe and two 18" case magnaflow mufflers
Superior Perforance aluminum radiator
Alternator, water pump and PS pump all new w/ swap (5k miles)
LSBrackets Accessory drive bracket
Stock 3.73 rear with Auburn Posi and LPW girdle
Caltrac 3701 low profile (only 600 miles on these)
UMI tubular uppers with tall ball joints
truck has 78,xxx miles on it currently with 5k miles under its belt with the swap so all the kinks are worked out. Gets 26 MPG on the highway doing 75 in 6th, there's a lot left in the tune. One of the AC hoses wasn't crimped well and all the refrigerant leaked out, I have the new connections and hose to make a new line just haven't gotten to it, will need that line made and then the system charged to work. Worked great while it was charged.
