4L60E Questions
Hello,
I finally have the funds saved up to buy my LS motor and start my swap, my question is I already have a late 90's (around 97-98) 4L60E that was recently rebuilt before I pulled it out of the totaled car it was in. The place I am getting my motor from is willing to sell me a complete pull out (motor, trans, access., wiring, etc) for $1400 from a low mileage 2005 truck or everything minus the trans for $700. That is a fair amount of money to me at least and my question is how much different is the 97/98 4L60E and the 2005 4L60E? Would my trans talk to the 2005 computer or would I be better off just spending the extra money?
Thanks for any information,
Michael

The transmission will work with your 20o5 electronics.

I made the assumption that the trans was out of a 98 Camaro/Trans Am. I appologize, will clarify (agree with Flame), if the trans is from an LS vehicle it will work. If it is from 95 or newer it will work as well since it has a PWM TCC function albeit it will need a spacer between the flexplate and converter.
