Intake, throttle body, and pcv routing questions
I'm doing a lsx swap, I have a 5.3 just put the ls1 intake on it and bolted the 5.3 throttle body to it and have some questions. Ignore attached thumbnails, just look at photobucket pics.
This is a port on the drivers side of ls1 intake what is it for, and do I need to put something there?

This is a pic of the breather port that gets connected to the passenger side valve cover port, it is covering up what i think is the throttle cable bracket bolt holes. It looks like it is a tight press fit so i dont think i can turn it out of the way, is it possible to heat and bend out of the way or maybe i can cut it before the bend and just use a hose clamp on it?

This is a pic of the piece on throttle body that cable attaches to as you can see it just barely hits the top of the f body water pump, can I just trim it with a dye grinder so it doesn't hit?

I would greatly appreciate any help also if there is any issues with the 5.3 throttle body on ls1 intake or the ls1 intake on a 5.3 engine that i have overlooked please inform me!

Oh and I ground the steam tube fitting off the bottom of the TB till it was flat as I am not using the steam tube at all now.

First pic of port on drivers side is the vaccum for the gas tank evac, so just plug it up. Second pic of port is to passenger valve cover port as you state. Thirt pic of port is for pcv evac usually connected on rear of drivers side valve cover or on later models in front of valley cover.

If you keep that throttle body, the fresh air port can be turned upward a bit so it clears the intake better. Heat the area around the tube a little and turn it with a short length of tube or something.
You may be able to grind down the water pump a bit to clear the throttle linkage. Or just grind the throttle cam a bit. As long as it doesn't interfere with the cable, it should be fine.

2nd one is the Fresh air port for the PCV system, should be able to bend, but be careful, its made of cheap tubeing and might break.
3rd one is the PCV port (inlet).
4th one.. Not really sure, but I think you might be able to take a little off of each.
But since I don't have any Truck TB's, I would defer to any of the other statements on the intenal port for the Fresh air and PCV system.
good luck

Is something wrong with the tb or is it me.. i can see the throttle stop and the cam is opposite of mine. Maybe the throttle blade was removed and the cam wasnt put in the correct position. My cable wraps across the top and pulls the cam ccw. Mine wont rotate that far where it would hit and be an issue.

Yeah.. after looking at it.. it appears that the cam/shaft is 180 off. (But that is compared to an LS1/f-body one). It is like someone took it out and flipped it 180... I was just looking at the problem and not the whole picture..
But then again, I don't have any Truck T/B to compare.
