Default 65 Mustang- 404ci lsx, 8.8, tubbed and caged UPDATES 12/1

So i decided that its time to make a new thread, the old one is full of project changes and other unnecessary stuff. Looking to make the car as low and streetable as possible while still being able to drive to the track and knock down some low 9's

Heres the stuff i know wont be changing-

Engine-
404ci iron block
Lunati 4.00" pro series crank
Lunati billet i-beams
Diamond pistons
LSA cylinder heads
Custom turbo cam
ARP studded throughout

Suspension-
18x9/10 wheels for now until i get them widened
315 drag radial out back
Aje front strut suspension
Rear is tubbed and now gonna be 4 linked

Looking at a GT91 turbo once chassis mods are complete

Unsure of transmission but most likely will be a 4l80e

More pics to come

So I decided to do a full 4 link setup... will have tons of adjustability and should be just fine on the street. An 8.8 will be in there shortly as well

Heres the stuff i know wont be changing-

Engine-
6.0l on e85
Going to try and keep stock bore but go forged rods and pistons
Stock crank
Custom turbo cam
LSA cylinder heads
Holley Hi-Ram
ARP Studded

Suspension-
18x9/10 wheels
315 drag radial out back
Aje front suspension
Rear is tubbed and now gonna be 4 linked

Also the car will be getting some sort of turbo but not sure what the final size will be, right now i have a Turbonetics GTK1000 but it is for sale as it is not going to be enough for my new goals.

Unsure of transmission but most likely will be a 4l80e

More pics to come
Once you see the machine work on the Holley High Ram intake, you'll probably change your mind. The ones for the rectangle port heads have the intake ports machined off on one side. There is a long thread, with pics, about it in the gen4 external section.

So I've almost got everything needed to start the engine build.

404ci
10.5:1
Diamond -10dish pistons
Lunati pro series crank
Lunati billet rods
LSA heads

Still need to get a cam spec'd and had to order one new diamond piston.
Thing should be pretty stout with the limiting factor being head lift.

What kind of power would I be leaving on the table if I run a ls3 manifold over a Vic Jr.?

Nice build. Love the wheels. I think the windshield banner should be the GM performance logo.
