Haha, tuning just started. It is on the initial tune I made to start the car with a little tuning done to the idle area. I left it purposefully rich in the boost area and when it hit 10 psi it was around 10.6 or so....pretty rich, but not too shabby for my guestimates

As for the stall, yeah, I wanted it to stall up pretty far as I was not sure when this turbo would light off.

Honestly it dis not happen til after it was over. I was too busy watching the wideband and making sure it didn't go lean on me, lol. But yeah, as soon as it was over I was grinning like the village idiot.

Got it on E85 tonight. It loves it so far. Hit 15 psi or a little over without an issue. Seemed to idle better, still needs tuning badly, but I am slowly making sure that everything is working well while sorting out kinks.

Seems the Ebay starter I got from some guy named abad71camaro has taken a dump already. It only works about 1/10 times if that. At first it worked great, now after about 30 or so starts total on the starter it seems to be done. I would not think it was overheating as all the exhaust goes forward. It seems random as to when it will work and when it won't. But I would hate to get stranded somewhere. So I ordered a Powermaster tonight and we will see how that goes.

Hood pins arrive tomorrow so I should have the hood back on it this week and be able to drive it around on the road. I am still kinda testing the waters, lol. I need to just sit down and spend some time with the idle. It does great once it is hot and been driven, but before that it is quite unhappy at idle.

Well apparently it is not the stater....grrr. Must be a bad wire or something. New one is better for sure. It engages and turns over but still very slowly. So at this point it has to be wires or the nearly brands new 750 cca yellowtop optima battery.

I had a similar issue with a camaro. Added lager grounds from battery to chassis and chassis to block and not it works like a champ. before that the starter would barely spin as if the starter was bad or battery was weak. Good luck getting it squared away. Sick build BTW

Ty, after doing some reading, apparently some folks have grounding issues even still and have to run a ground from the battery up to the block in addition to the chassis ground. I have some extra wire, so I am going to try that. If not, then it will be new starter cables and switch cables.

I had to weld a bolt to my frame in back and up front so i could ground my block and battery. Before i just bolted it in a clean hole but it didnt like that for long.

Ok getting a little frustrated....replaced starter, replaced starter wire, checked all grounds, tried running new ground. Only thing I can think of still is having the starter switch wire go to a relay that has a beefier power wire going to the switch. Any thoughts? Nothing I have done so far has changed a damn thing, unless this brand new optima has gone bad.

where did you ground your battery? is it in the trunk? what I did was use a noid light and ground the one end that has the clip on it and touch the pointed end on the starter where the battery wire is run to. that will let you know if you have a complete circuit.

i don't use any relays either. i just run my ignition wire from my column directly to my starter and run my battery wire directly to the other post on my starter. then i run my alt wire to the starter on the post where the battery is

The old cranking switch wire went to a relay. Wondering if the wire is just not big enough. The weird part is when I hooked my truck up to the battery like I was jumping it off, it was still pretty slow at first then suddenly started turning over quickly, then went back to going slow again...very weird.

I had the same issue with my foxbody. I ended up going with a relay and used the original ignition wire to fire the relay. No issues in 2 years, hopefully that's all your dealing with. Great build by the way.

we have did 4 ls foxbody swaps and we just ground the battery to the trunk floor and then run a 1/0 ground cable from the block to the bottom of the frame rail. we also always use the factory ford starter solenoid to engage the ls starter solenoid.

Couple updates. Put on a relay and it cranks up with ZERO issue. Apparently it just needed a relay in between the starter "trigger" wire and the starter. Starts with ease! I also replaced the throttle body tonight. I talked to a guy that sells the one I got on ebay and apparently you can mess with the throttle blade and make them work fine, but I really just did not want to mess with it. I slapped on a Nick Williams throttle body and it seems much better to me. I think it still needs a bit of tuning, but it is much better than it was. So if anyone wants a Godspeed 92mm throttle body, it is yours for $50. Apparently it just needs the blade aligned better and it works well...I donno, I am done messing with it honestly.
