do you have a drill press? I tried that stand over it crap and then switched to a drill press and the press made it easier. Not perfect by any stretch, but better than what I was expecting. At least if it bit it wasn't trying to fling my wrist in 3 different directions..

Try not to fall over when I tell you this, ok? I bought the harbor freight bench top unit for I think it was $129 and this thing has just been absolutely amazing for reliability. It isn't some super under geared power house that could drill through the earth, but I haven't yet found something I can't drill through with it set for low speed. It is belt driven, and I have had the belt slip a few times when it comes to bit bind, but this thing would drill through box steel with, what I thought was a dull bit, with decent speed.

Best of luck getting your setup figured out.

It is extremely easy to seal c clip eliminators in an 8.8 by following the instructions here:
http://www.modularrevolution.com/forums/cclip.php

I did it circa 2000-2001 and drove my Mustang for years like this, with no problems at all.

Well everything is together and mostly back in the car. It was getting below freezing and I was ready to get ready for my week. Just got to bolt up the driveshaft and brakes and it will be done. Can't wait to start leaning on it a bit without fear of mass rear end destruction, lol. Going to do the safety loop while it is up in the air.

New brakes are on. Sad really that my old vented set up would not work with these axles. I am sure I could have made them work, but easier just to get some new SN95 stuff.

Well I took it for a short run today and it seems to be doing well. I have yet to adjust the tune much at all other than some mild changes I made the last tuning session and it seems to be doing very well. No real noise from the rear end, or at least none I could hear over my exhaust Time to start getting the interior back in the car and getting it ready for racing!

Heat cycled a couple times now, went out and did a couple 50-75% throttle passes down the street...sadly the tires break loose at anything over about 10 psi and it starts trying to kick out the **** end. I really need to try to find something a little stickier.

yeah only one size in the PRO right now. be prepared to beat the ever living **** out of your inner wheel well and lip to get them to fit. ive got about an hour with a 10lb sledge into mine. i just oput a new set on and i will say they hold amazingly well on the cold pavement. way more stable than the 4 month old worn out ones they replaced. im not doing burnouts on the street ever again lol

Trying to see if anyone has had any luck with some of low profiles. Someone was saying that a guy was doing 8.80s on a 315/35 which is pretty darn good. I would love to not have to sell my wheels. Although right now I am having to use a .75" spacer to fit them without rubbing the inner wheel well.

Wow, been a while since I updated. I will get some pics up soon. I switched out to some 275/60/15 5 star wheels with Nitto 555r drag radials and continue to blow the tires off it even at 65 mph and 67% throttle. I was also overboosting a bit, bit found a leak at the wastegate so hopefully that will be cleared up. Next up is a driveshaft safety loop and battery cut off to get it ready for tech. Hope to get some times by the end of the month or early next month. Turbo is a 92 mm turbine with 1.10 ar t6 housing.
