Yeah we tried that on one side of the sway bar mounts as well. It didn't move a cm! Did you get the whole bracket off to make it flat by using a sawzall?

I Used a grinder with a cut off wheel, sawzall, hammer, pry bar to get most of the bracket off. Then I just used a grinder and grinded what was left till it was flat. Was ALOT harder then what I initially thought.

Now if u have a plasma cutter, u should have both off in less then 5 mins lol.

Did you end up replacing the fox inner fender or welding the new one over existing panel? I'm considering this here in the near future.

I used the Scott Rod Fab panels that you weld over the existing panels. Very nice pieces! They don't take long at all to put in either.

Did you use anything to seal the metal in between the 2 panels? I was thinking water/moister between the 2 would cause it to rust inside out.

Sure didn't. When researching them I didn't see anyone mention anything about it nor did Scott Rod mention anything about it.

You could just prime the old metal (if not painted) and prime the inside of the new panel. That should prevent any rusting

Yeah... probably should have primed the back side of that cover panel and the stock panel being covered. Would probably take a long time, but eventually it'll rust from the inside out like the old Toyota pick-up beds.

Love that intake manifold... hate fixing other people's shoddy work as well.

Well took the car to the body shop today. My buddy Josh's uncle is gonna paint it. He also came over to help smooth the engine bay as well. He will be putting the finishing touches on it before he paints it. He will also be fixing the firewall where the guy who did the swap previously beat the firewall to clear the motor. The shock towers are smooth as glass! Should turnout awesome!

Firewall before. I'll post pics after he gets done with it too.

Nice stuff... funny how clutch mfgs work. That's clearly a Spec pressure plate and disc but painted green. The hardware holding the clutch disk pucks to the plate even have the same "S" on them. I wonder who actually makes them for all these boutique clutch sellers?

Thanks, and I don't care who makes it as long as it holds! lol

What are you waiting on?! Maybe these pics will make you want to even more!

My buddies uncle got it done early and I was unaware of it until I got a pic of the car on the trailer today. I knew painting the engine bay the same color as the body was going to make it bright but I think once I get the engine in and everything it won't be so "wow". By the way, these are cell phone pics. I can't wait till the weekend to see it in person!
