Picked up a 1961 Series 62 Coupe. Has been sitting for about five years. Last time it ran, it blew smoke pretty bad. I'm going to try and start it up tomorrow. L96 with 6L90E w/2k on it is on the way. May be a while until I actually get to the swap with everything that is going on.
'61 Cadillac Series 62
For the helluvit, I dumped a little gas in the carb, turned it over and it fired.

I used the classic performance products kit it will let me keep the stock wheels so I can run the white walls and caps. The space for the exhaust header on driver side is super tight with the steering box and took some work to build a header and the engine mounts hade to be built other then that It was all the same swap stuff with most cars

The trans tunnel did get cut for the 400 and shifter the battery moved to drivers side odyssey dry cell I built the exhaust to be off ground when car is laid out a lil work getting it out and around X frame a lot of mandrel bends made it nice and tight

You said the muscle car pan, which I believe is the LH8 sits about 3/4" above the crossmember, correct? I think I'll take the LH8 I got from BRP and use it on the Cadillac instead of the Bird, and get an autokraft pan for it instead.

I want to do a 77 or so square headlight D-body coupe with a twin turbo 6.0... On Daytons. Wide Daytons, I'm talking a 17x11 with a 335 series tire.
Great builds guys. Once my money tree grows up...

If anyone's interested....My elderly father is not going to finish his '65 Eldorado convertible build - 2,150 produced. All original except block (threw a rod). My father is the second owner and has owned it since '75.
